Leads international operations, partnerships, and organizational development. In 2025, spent three months in Uganda overseeing Kids Without a Crew building completion and designing sustainable food and herb gardens for the kids.

Wherever we work, the drilling is led by local partners — like Daniel and Peter below — and One Million Wells works alongside them to reach the communities around them. They hire locally, they train the water committees, and they're still there long after a well is finished. And they don't drill alone: corporate teams, donors, and volunteers travel with us to work alongside the local crews — and go home changed by it. Because a community's needs don't stop at the well, we work alongside local organizations like ONE30 Network on the ground too. That's not a supply chain. That's the whole point.

Daniel Egimu

Health professional by training, drilling partner by choice. Daniel leads one of the largest drilling teams in the Soroti region, and One Million Wells partners with him to bring wells to communities across eastern Uganda. He also re-formed an all-women's drilling crew — because barriers are just things that haven't been drilled through yet.

Peter Matovu

Peter leads drilling crews across Uganda — and One Million Wells has partnered with him longer than anyone. He coordinates in-country logistics for every project, drives the U.S. team when they're in-country, and helped build the Kids Without a Crew sustainable farm. ONE30 runs four primary schools in Uganda and is opening Daystar High School in Mbarara — helping kids grow up known, loved, and equipped to break the cycle of poverty. Mike Owens

Secretary / Lead Well Team Trainer

In addition to his full-time role as Co-founder of Strategic Legacy Advisors, Mike has spent the last several years helping communities gain access to water through One Million Wells. He joined OMW in 2021 after hearing women were walking three miles for green water and decided that was unacceptable. He showed up the next day and has been going ever since. Today, Mike travels internationally to help train drilling teams, teaching communities how to drill, maintain, and replicate their own water systems because sustainable impact starts with empowering people to build it themselves.
