One Million Wells, Inc. (“OMW,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 82-1963744) headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit our website at sinkchallenge.org (or onemillionwells.org) or interact with our programs and services.
Information you provide directly: When you make a donation, fill out a contact form, sign up for emails, register for a trip, or take the #SinkChallenge, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and payment information.
Information collected automatically: When you visit our site, we may collect standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, and referring URL.
Donation information: Donations are processed through Givebutter, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
We use the information we collect to process donations and provide tax receipts, respond to inquiries, send updates about wells drilled and programs (if you opt in), coordinate volunteer trips, improve our website, and comply with legal obligations.
Period. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.
We use trusted third-party services including Givebutter (donations), Webflow (website hosting), Google Analytics (site analytics), and social media platforms. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Donations are processed over encrypted (SSL/TLS) connections through PCI-compliant payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data.

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
