What Drives One Million Wells

Innovation

Through patented technology and continuous innovations, One Million Wells has created a cost-effective method for drilling water wells.  This method is significantly cheaper to build and more effective in accessing water. Co-founder and inventor of the patented drill, R.C. Crawford, spends hours each day in his workshop in Texas working on drill enhancements, alternate power sources, and tools that will make the process even easier.

Implementation

Getting cost-efficient drilling equipment and proper training to the areas most in need is the primary goal of One Million Wells.  After testing its innovative drilling technique in Texas and Mexico in 2015, One Million Wells began drilling wells in communities around the world in early 2016.  And we constantly are reaching out and identifying other communities that can benefit.

Impact

One Million Wells strives to make a positive impact, and the importance of having access to water is so key in improving the lives of millions.  Water access significantly improves agricultural output, and shows to be effective in solving famine and disease facing so many.  To date, One Million Wells has drilled over 225 water wells in 11 countries.  Our map page shows the coordinates for the wells drilled so far, but there is much more work to do.
