Jim Forbis is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Duke University. He formed his own insurance firm in 1981 and was head of CFH Financial Services, Inc. until 2020 and continued as an advisor and board member until January 2025. In 2025 Jim formed and now heads Enlightened Guidance and Financial Planning, a financial services firm with emphasis in Special Needs, Charitable Needs, and Family and Business Succession Planning. He actively strives to make a difference in the lives of his clients and his community.
Jim is the founder of Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South and has served as an officer on the national board. More recently, Jim has been active in establishing Methodist Health Care Residential Hospice for Memphis, also working with the Church Health Center, “The Way,” and other charitable organizations in the region.
Jim and his wife, Ann, spend their spare time with their children and grandchildren and shared interests in church and youth group activities, athletics, hunting and fishing, and farm management.
Jim joined the One Million Wells team in 2019 and is strongly committed to its mission and success of empowering people with technology to access water for themselves. Realizing that children, more than any other group, are dependent on a source of clean readily available water for their growth, intellectual and physical development, Jim led an international outreach of One Million Wells. This came to be known as Shelter and Care which provides for the spiritual, physical, educational, and medical care needs of orphans that now number more than 75 in two facilities in Uganda and Tanzania. One Million Wells will open the doors of the Transform the Needy Child orphanage in Kiige, Uganda in late October or early November. Since beginning his involvement with One Million Wells, Jim has helped increase the awareness and the overall acceptance of reverse flow , a revolutionary method of drilling. One Million Wells has now received a patent on the second drilling invention developed by RC Crawford that makes use of reverse flow. OMW is in the process of creating transferable plans and establishing fabrication capabilities in Africa, India, Central and South America for this latest patient. One Million Wells has drilled more than 1200 wells most of which have been completed in the March 2020 through September 2025 time period.it is their effort to provide training, education, technology and ongoing support to people throughout the world so that they might access water for themselves!

Peter Matovu
Ugandan Coordinator & Drilling Team Lead
Peter has worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 15 years, also serving as a commercially trained driver with extensive experience navigating Uganda’s diverse terrain. As our Ugandan Coordinator, he ensures that all trips within the country are efficiently planned, arranging transportation, lodging, purchasing of supplies, and logistics for visiting teams. He also personally drives the U.S. team while in Uganda, ensuring safe and smooth travel.
In addition to his role in travel coordination, Peter serves as a Drilling Team Lead, overseeing well-drilling operations across Uganda. He works closely with the U.S. operations team to coordinate purchases, manage reporting, and handle other critical logistical tasks that support the drilling and shelter and care projects. His dedication helps bring clean water to communities in need while ensuring the seamless operation of fieldwork. Having mastered the drilling process, Peter is now equipped to train other teams as well—helping expand local capacity and multiply the impact of clean water efforts across the region.
Peter was also instrumental for several months near the completion of the TTNC orphanage building and agricultural development project. He helped coordinate some with the building engineer and worked closely with Kelly Snodgras to source and transport all necessary items for the orphanage, children, and grounds while she was in country for 3 months to set up and manage the end of this project. Peter’s guidance ensured fair pricing, protecting the organization from inflated “foreigner” rates. He also played a key role in establishing the orphanage’s sustainable farm initiative—supporting the setup of the tilapia pond, fruit and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and medicinal herb areas—laying the foundation for long-term food security and health benefits for the children.
When he is not working, Peter enjoys watching his favorite soccer teams and spending quality time with his close family and children.

Daniel Egimu
Ugandan Medical Coordinator & Drilling Team Leader
Daniel is a dedicated health professional who has partnered with Rock Harbor Church medical teams, Piwan Dental Clinic, and Oral Health Uganda to provide vital medical and dental care to communities across Northern Uganda. He currently serves as the medical coordinator for the orphans at TTNC, ensuring consistent care and improved health outcomes for the children.
Daniel coordinated the first One Million Wells training in Uganda in 2022. Through that experience, he felt deeply motivated to help transform communities with clean water. Since then, he has developed strong skills in well drilling and now trains youth, men, and women—empowering them with the ability to drill wells for their own communities. Many villages throughout Soroti, Pader, Gulu, and surrounding areas have already received the gift of clean water through his leadership.
He heads a large drilling team in Soroti and recently re-formed, mentored, and now leads an all-women’s drilling team trained through another organization in 2024. His commitment to capacity-building ensures more communities can sustainably address their own water needs. Having mastered the drilling process, Daniel is now equipped to train additional teams across Uganda, multiplying the impact of clean water efforts in his community.
Beyond his medical and drilling work, Daniel is passionate about serving in the church. He is the Director of Music at Faith Mission of Uganda, Soroti Headquarters, where he plays piano and teaches young people to develop their musical gifts.
Daniel strongly believes in teamwork—“we are stronger together.” He is also the first to step in when any team member in Uganda becomes ill, ensuring they receive the medical attention and support they need, whether in person or by phone.

Prosper Mlelwa
Tanzanian Project Coordinator
Prosper Mlelwa serves as the Coordinator for our One Million Wells (OMW) projects in Tanzania, including the founding location of More Precious Than Pearls. In this role, he oversees and supervises all organizational initiatives within the country. Prosper travels as needed for water well drilling and other trainings as well as setting up our programs in other countries.
Prosper holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, providing him with a strong foundation to effectively lead educational and social development programs. Prior to joining More Precious Than Pearls and later One Million Wells, he worked as the Training Coordinator at Mary Our Queen Vocational Training School, where he played a pivotal role in advancing vocational education and skills development.
Guided by a deep passion for community transformation, Prosper continues to apply his expertise to projects that uplift lives and create lasting impact. Through his leadership, the orphanage connected to One Million Wells is becoming a model of self-sustainability. Under his direction, the facility will cultivate its own food—including corn and tilapia—and operate its own corn and rice milling systems. These efforts not only ensure food security for the orphans but also offer vital services to the surrounding community. The income generated will directly support the ongoing operational costs of the orphanage.
We are incredibly excited to watch Prosper bring this vision to life over the coming years and help us develop a replicable model for sustainable orphanage support—one we aim to implement at our sister location in Uganda.
